QHR ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF CLINICARE CORPORATION

KELOWNA, December 8, 2009 – QHR Technologies Inc. (TSX-Venture: QHR) announced today that they have completed the acquisition of 100% of the Class A common voting shares and approximately 19.5% of the Class B common non-voting shares of CLINICARE Corporation (CLINICARE).  QHR now owns approximately 79% of the total issued and outstanding shares of Clinicare, so change of control has occurred.

Optimed Software Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of QHR that develops and markets Accuro® EMR.  Combining CLINICARE’s EMR physician base with Optimed’s base has made Optimed one of Canada's leading EMR companies. Optimed now supports over 3,000 physicians across Canada, with over 2,000 Canadian physicians utilizing an Optimed EMR.  Optimed is now Canada’s largest EMR vendor, based on installed Canadian physicians.

EliteCare 6.7 Approved in Ontario

CLINICARE Corporation’s EliteCare v6.7 EMR offering has passed the conformance testing requirements set forth by OntarioMD. As of September 2009, this offering is “CMS Specification 3.0 Certified” for Local Installs to physicians in Ontario.

Eligible physicians implementing CLINICARE’s EliteCare 6.7 EMR may receive funding under the EMR Adoption program.

CLINICARE Helps Handle H1N1

A number of CLINICARE application features are available to help your practice handle the H1N1 pandemic. These include identifying high risk patients, generating recall lists for them, rapid (batch import) entry of data gathered at flu shot clinics, and reporting to the Episentinel (or other) surveillance program.
